The sweetest gifts are always homemade! Gift your friends and family with a homemade cookie or keep them all to yourself. Treat them to a mix that they can use to quickly and easily make a warm batch of homemade cookies.
Ingredients in the Jar
115g plain flour
½ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon sea salt
165g rolled oats
125g light brown sugar
Ingredients you will need:
½ tsp Vanilla Extract (optional)
1 Large Free-Range Egg
To bake cookies:
Preheat oven to 180ºC/gas 4.
Open the jar and carefully spoon the sugar into a mixing bowl with 115g softened butter.
Add vanilla extract for flavouring (1/2 tsp), then beat everything with an electric mixer until pale and fluffy.
Mix in 1 large free-range egg.
Empty in the rest of jar; combine until smooth.
Refrigerate the dough for half an hour, then transfer tablespoons of it to a lined baking sheet. Flatten slightly, leaving room for them to spread.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until golden at the edges but soft in the middle.
Leave on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a rack to cool.
If you are purchasing a refill we require a jar at least 1 litre capacity to put the ingredients in.
